Description
The level is designed as an open world that encourages the player to explore freely from the start. During the first levels, the player learns the basics of the game and the surrounding world. Eventually, the player encounters a dragon – a central figure in the game. By building mutual trust and teaching the dragon to fly, the bond between them grows. When the trust is strong enough, the path to an epic adventure together opens up.
Synopsis
The game begins in a so-called starter zone, divided into three unique areas. Each section gives the player a first glimpse of the large world’s different environments and difficulty levels. Here, the player is gradually introduced to new types of enemies and challenges while discovering what's possible within the game. It’s a place for both learning and curiosity – a taste of the adventure ahead.
Unique Selling Point (USP)
You are standing by the tree next to the house when you suddenly hear the sound of battle. Curious, you rush out into the otherwise peaceful valley. At the watchtower, you see a dramatic fight – an evil wizard wounds a mighty dragon, which crashes to the ground. You run toward the crash site, but the dragon is gone. The tracks lead to a dark cave. Inside, your eyes meet – an ancient power awakens. You are meant for each other, but first, you must save the injured dragon. The adventure begins now.
Main Goal
Build a strong bond with an injured dragon to together stop an evil wizard who is seeking a book of dark magic. The journey begins in an open world where the player learns the basics and explores different biomes.
Subgoals
- Find resources to heal the dragon
- Earn the dragon’s trust through quests and interactions
- Train flying
- Overcome obstacles and enemies
Each subgoal deepens the relationship between the player and the dragon.
Game Mechanics
- Open world exploration
- Crafting & Farming (potions, food, armor)
- Bonding & training with the dragon
- Flying & combat once the bond is strong enough
- Gameplay variation that drives the story forward
Difficulty Level
The level starts easy but gradually increases in difficulty. Initially, the focus is on exploration and bonding, but later it requires more skill – such as maneuvering the dragon in the air or defeating enemies. The balance between calm and intense moments makes the level both accessible and engaging.
